Girl Scouts Careers and Science Day

The Girl Scouts are coming to visit the Buck Institute for a whole day of discovery and fun! This second collaboration between the Buck Institute and the Girl Scouts of Northern California features Keynote presentation by our faculty member Dr. Tara Tracy as well as workshops presented by Dr. Birgit Schilling (the Mass Spec Core), Claire Spafford (Learning Center), and the graduate student volunteers. The purpose of the event is to show the fun and excitement of research to young girls and teach what we do here at the Buck. We hope that the event will help spark passion in the Girl Scouts to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
