Buck Research Immersion Program

For high school students entering grades 10-12

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we unfortunately will not be able to offer this program in 2020.

The Buck Research Immersion Program is a science program in the Learning Center for all high school students.  It is a one-week program, based on the principles of Geroscience and includes a survey of the literature, case studies, and cell culture experience.

The program is designed to give students practical, hands-on experience in hypothesis-based research while surveying the latest techniques used here at the Institute in our Geroscience research. Students will be given the opportunity to culture cells, work with model organisms and, and interact with scientists at the Institute.  Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
