We are holding a block of rooms at the Novato Oaks Inn and the Inn Marin for check-in Sunday, August 23rd 2009 and check-out on Friday, August 28th, 2009. You must reserve your room by Monday, August 10th and mention: “Stem Cell Course and or BUCKSTEM” in order to get the discounted room rate.
How to get to Novato Flying:
We recommend that you fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland International Airport.
Ground Transportation to and from the Airport
Shuttle Directions:
We recommend that you use the Marin Airporter, (http://www.marinairporter.com/) a shuttle bus that will bring you to Novato. When you arrive at SFO you should go to the baggage claim area and proceed outside to the blue support columns on the center Courtesy Island. The Airporter buses stop at the Marin/Sonoma County sign next to the large blue pillar labeled “Airporters”.
The Marin Airporter picks up passengers at SFO every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour. You don't need to make an advance reservation. The cost each way is approximately $20. This is considerably cheaper than taking a cab.

The Buck Institute is located 25 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge:
From the South San Francisco Airport/San Francisco, South Bay:
Take Highway 101 North across the Golden Gate Bridge
Take the last Novato Exit # Atherton/San Marin Drive (just north of the DeLong exit)
Turn left at the stop light, go west over the freeway overpass
Get in the right lane and turn right at the second stoplight onto Redwood Highway
Go approximately ½ mile, turn left onto Buck Center Drive
Stop at the security gate, give your name using the intercom
At the top of the hill, turn left into the Visitor Parking Lot
From the East Bay Berkeley/Oakland
Take Highway 80 to Highway 580 West, cross the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge (toll bridge)
Take 580 until it merges with Highway 101 North in San Rafael
Take the last Novato Exit # Atherton/San Marin Drive (just north of the DeLong exit)
Turn left at the stop light, go west over the freeway overpass
Get in the right lane and turn right at the second stoplight onto Redwood Highway
Go approximately ½ mile, turn left onto Buck Center Drive

From the North Through Sonoma County
Take Highway 101 South
Take the first Novato Exit (Atherton/San Marin Drive)
Turn right at the stop light, stay in the right lane
Take an immediate right onto Redwood Highway
Go approximately ½ mile, turn left onto Buck Center Drive
Stop at the security gate, give your name using the intercom
At the top of the hill, turn left into the Visitor Parking Lot From SFO to the Novato Oaks Inn
From SFO to the Novato Oaks Inn Take Hwy 101 North, up the Peninsula and through San Francisco.Go across the Golden Gate Bridge and continue on 101, about 23 miles, to Novato.
Take Hamilton Field exit.
Stay to the left, and go over the freeway.
Take a right turn onto Alameda del Prado. The Inn is on the left-hand side.
From SFO to the Inn Marin Take ramp onto US-101 N toward SAN FRANCISCO (I-280)
Take Right fork onto I-80 E toward BAY BRIDGE/OAKLAND
Take Right fork onto I-580 W toward POINT RICHMOND/SAN RAFAEL (Portions toll) –
Take the IGNACIO BLVD/BEL MARIN KEYS BLVD
Bear Left on NAVE DR
Turn Left on IGNACIO BLVD
Turn Right on ENFRENTE RD
Turn Right on ENTRADA DR
Arrive at 250 ENTRADA DR, NOVATO, on the Left
Shuttle:
If you do not have a rental car, the Novato Oaks will provide a shuttle van to transport guests to and from the Buck Institute on each day of the course. The shuttle will make the round trip once each way per day. It will depart each morning at 8:30 am and pick up at 5:30 pm. There is only enough space on the shuttle for 7 guests and it is first come first serve. If you miss or do not fit on the shuttle, please ask someone at the hotel front desk to call you a cab.
